THERMAL PERFORMANCE
SOUND CONTROL
Low-E coatings and insulated glazing can be reviewed for the heating, cooling and solar-control brief. Select a glass build-up compatible with the frame and sash weight.
Glass thickness, pane combinations, interlayers, seals and installation all affect sound reduction. Discuss an acoustic glazing brief for noise-sensitive rooms.
Specify the complete window.
Review the frame, glazing, seals, opening dimensions and installation together. Performance data should relate to the selected configuration.
Options can include double or triple glazing where the selected system permits.

Which window families are shown?
What is single-hung vs. double-hung?
Horizontal sliding windows have side-to-side sash travel. Vertical sliding or hung windows have stacked sashes that move up and down.
A single-hung window has an operable lower sash and a fixed upper sash. In a double-hung window, both sashes can move vertically.
Do all vertical windows tilt inward?
Can screens and grid details be included?
Tilt-in cleaning depends on the model. The supplied tilted views show that feature on selected designs; confirm it for your chosen unit.
Specify the screen arrangement and glazing-bar pattern with the elevation. White screened examples use white mesh and matching screen frames.
Which glass options can be reviewed?
Can sizes and layouts be customized?
Tempered, Low-E, laminated, frosted, insulated and tinted glass can be discussed. Confirm compatibility and the complete glass build-up.
Send the opening dimensions and preferred sash arrangement. Feasibility depends on the selected system, glass weight and operating hardware.
How is performance confirmed?
